One of the key advantages of DC cross-flow fans is their compact design. The helical or radial arrangement of the blades allows for a large volume of air to be moved through a comparatively small space, making them ideal for use in tight enclosures or other confined spaces.

The cross-flow fan is mainly composed of impeller, duct and motor.
